RAMS Overview

The RAMS system provides the capability to securely manage, monitor and control computing assets. The system is comprised of:

• a very light-weight downloadable software client agent (~400 Kb)
• functionality extensions that automatically install on the client
• a hosted web service

The RAMS agent provides the capability for management, intelligent monitoring and control of installed machines. The agent provides facilities to deploy, update and execute RAMS9 extension technologies.

The RAMS Web Service provides centralized reporting, management and administration of all agent deployed machines. All supported extension activity is reported in a web-accessible web console, also some functionality on the client can be controlled from the web console.

RAMS Extensions Overview

Extensions are specific functions that are automatically enabled within RAMS and then managed remotely.

Remote Backup Extension

The remote backup extension provide basic profile driven backup creation, scheduling and reporting.

Asset Manager Extension

The asset manager extension provides an automatically updated inventory of the software, hardware, operating system, user environment and events.
